Celebrities Are Changing Their Minds About Depp Vs. Heard Case After New Evidence Is Unsealed

You might have thought the world had heard enough about Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. Their trial was over, and Johnny Depp was considered the victor. However, evidence has revealed a side to Depp that had been kept hidden. It sheds some light on how the actor and how his legal team won the case, causing many people to second guess their original vote for Johnny Depp.

The big reveal

The defamation case between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp was a brutal affair. All kinds of nasty stories were told about each other, and hundreds of thousands of people heard every detail. It all began after Amber Heard’s op-ed in the Washington Post where she claimed she was a “public figure representing domestic abuse”. Long story short, public opinion seemed to sway in Depp’s direction, and he ended up winning the case.

About a month after the trial, fans of Johnny Depp wanted more. They all raised the funds together and paid for the unsealed documents from the trial. These documents contained a shocking amount of information that was kept from the public’s knowledge. Whether or not this information will change public opinion as a whole remains to be seen.

The dirt

According to the now unsealed documents, Heard’s team had actually tried to submit evidence that Johnny Depp has erectile dysfunction. They claimed this was linked to one of the incidents where Depp sexually assaulted Heard with a bottle.

Though Mr. Depp would rather not disclose his erectile dysfunction condition, such a condition absolutely is relevant to sexual violence, including Mr. Depp’s anger and use of a bottle to rape Amber Heard,” said Amber’s lawyers. “Mr. Depp’s erectile dysfunction makes it more probable that Mr. Depp would be angry or agitated in encounters with Amber Heard, and that he would resort to a bottle.”

Additionally, the documents revealed how Depp’s team had tried to portray Amber in a certain way. They tried to submit nude photographs of the actress as well as include the period of Amber’s life, years before marrying Johnny, when she was an exotic dancer. However, Amber’s legal team argued against this. They said: “Nude pictures of Amber Heard or comments about stripping or escort services would be highly distracting and unfairly prejudicial to the extent they portray Amber Heard as a sex symbol instead of a women’s rights activist against domestic abuse.”

Furthermore, there was also evidence of text messages from Johnny Depp to Amber. The texts confirmed that he did assault, Miss Heard, on a plane. There were other texts from Depp to various friends of his, including Marilyn Manson and Paul Bettany. Depp texted Paul about hypothetically drowning Amber to make sure she’s not a witch.

Twitter exploded

Twitter exploded with hundreds of Tweets about the unsealed documents. @cocainecross tweeted: “Johnny Depp fans paid $3k to unseal the court documents just to get dirt on Amber. But ended up unintentionally exposing Depp and information he tried to keep private instead.”

Another user, @k4mil1aa, said: “In case anyone is out of the loop. Johnny supporters paid for unsealed docs which revealed that him and his team were editing photos, editing audios, intimidating witnesses, and incriminating texts. You can look it up in the news and @cocainecross also made a thread about it.”

According to @k4mil1aa, various celebrities who originally supported Depp were starting to remove their likes from his celebratory post after he won the case. “Celebrities are removing their likes from Johnny Depp’s celebratory Instagram post lmao,” she said. Additionally, @k4mil1aa added a list of the celebrities they noticed to have removed their likes.

Following the defimation case, both Depp and Heard both posted verdic statements on June 1st. Depps post has ammassed over 19 million likes, while Ambers has over 485 thousand. According to Buzzfeed News, since Depps original post on June 1st, over 105 musicians, actors, and influencers who originally liked the post have since removed it.
