A woman has posted about an egg that was growing on her friend’s ceiling. Her Facebook friends kept commenting to warn her not to touch it. The woman posted the picture on a Facebook group called Family Lowdown Tips & Ideas. She also captioned, “This is inside my friend’s son’s wardrobe- they don’t know if it’s always been there & they’ve never seen it or if it’s just appeared. They’ve not long moved in. Anyone got any ideas what it is? And what they should do?” Ever since the image came up on social media, it was flooded with comments. While some of them wondered about what it could be, others asked the family to steer clear.

One of the commenters stated, “Looks like some sort of nest like a spiders nest id be careful not to disturb it or touch it or you might have millions of spiders crawling out good luck I’d call pest control!” Another user commented, “Spider nest I had one in my cupboard and when I tried to move it millions of baby spiders run out everywhere.” Yet another commenter mentioned, “Get the hoover out, whatever it is well be well gone once Henry, Hetty, or Dyson suck the life out of it!” One user sarcastically mentioned, “Scrape it into the box. Seal and post to enemy. Enjoy.”
With the mystery adding on, it was some time before the owner commented, “It’s alright, it was expanding foam.” As a result of this rather disappointing reveal, most of the commenters replied back. Some wanted the egg to be something scary and exciting. While others simply thought this was rather anticlimactic. When a user went on to suggest that the woman was quite daring to even check it, she stated, “I didn’t, my fiance did after he got out of work.”
But for those who did have a spider egg in their ceilings, one user had the best idea for it. “My other half was in pest control and he believes it’s a spider’s egg nest. You can hoover it up and then put a load of Raid in the hoover. If it is a spider’s nest then there will be thousands in there.”
