Woman convinces boyfriend’s mistress that he died

Everyone loves a good revenge story. Especially when it comes to payback on a cheating spouse or partner. There are tales of the hurt spouse breaking up, breaking the cheater’s possession, or sending evidence of the misbehavior to their friends and family. But one woman took her scheme against her boyfriend’s mistress to the next level, and people can’t agree whether her plot is genius or evil. [1]

Woman Tells Her Boyfriend’s Mistress He’s Dead

Thea Loveridge posted videos on TikTok about her story. It’s hard to confirm if every detail is true, but if it is, it’s a wild ride!

She had learned that her boyfriend was cheating on her while she was pregnant. Not only that, but her boyfriend’s mistress was his ex who had previously created conflict in their relationship. That may have been the end of that, but when Thea’s husband went to prison for assault (unrelated to this situation), she had the perfect opportunity for vengeance.  She told her boyfriend’s mistress that he was dead. Yes, seriously. The other woman wasn’t aware of his arrest and had continued messaging him.

“She was trying to figure out where he was, all confused why he wasn’t talking to her,” Thea said. “I messaged her and told her that he was dead.”

And Thea was fully committed to the ruse. She even got her boyfriend’s sister on board, and they sent out fake funeral invitations and took photographs of a fake funeral service.

“It’s been three years and she still thinks he’s dead,” said Thea. “She posts little tributes every year on her Facebook page.”

When people accused Thea of inventing the tale, she shared a screenshot of one of the ex’s tributes. It said (sic): “One month tomorrow u left. U said goodbye to your demons. There was nothing anyone could do. This was ur peace. If I could have done more I would have but I know u left knowing I always had ur back and always loved you. Rip Scott. Forever my last love.”

Additionally, when people asked why the boyfriend never told the truth, Thea claimed that he chose to ‘stay dead’ and never spoke to her again. This is probably the most extreme method of ghosting. [2]

The Responses

Some people were enthralled with the idea.

“This is pure evil. I absolutely LOVE it,” commented one person.

Another added: “It’s the sister backing you for me.”

“Imagine she married another man and finds out he’s alive and now she’s conflicted and her relationship is over,” wrote another.

“‘Forever my last love’ like girl you were the side piece,” one person wrote.

However, others thought Thea was too cruel with her revenge on her boyfriend’s mistress.

“I feel like you could get sued for emotional distress,” said one commenter.

However, Thea made a video to defend herself against the haters. She replied directly to the comment that read:

“The guy is clearly a s***head for doing that to you, but that is a pretty messed up thing to put that woman through.”

But Thea claimed the mistress was “f*****g toxic and delusional.””She literally made up that they were together the night before I gave birth to my son,” she said. “I was with my baby daddy that night. He was there next to me the whole night, I was in [the] hospital.”

“Like, b***h, for her to go and make that s**t up and say that he was calling her on these dates … b***h I have receipts. But for her to go out of her way to make all that s**t up to hurt me when I was pregnant and vulnerable. B***h, you got what you deserved.”

“I Actually Did Her a Favor”

In an interview with Newsweek, Thea explains her decision in more detail. [3]

“[My boyfriend’s mistress] obviously knew I was pregnant but also was constantly messaging me, harassing me and making up fabricated stories involving my son so I basically told her that he was dead so that she would leave me alone,” she said.

In a follow-up video, she states that she’s no longer with her boyfriend and that he was “very abusive” so she “actually did the boyfriend’s mistress a favor”. In another clip, she claims that she no longer has the fake funeral pictures because of iCloud storage issues, but she shared another photograph from that night.

“This is from the night that me and [my ex-boyfriend’s] sister were out with the girls sending her photos saying that we were out drinking, celebrating his life,” said Thea.

Meanwhile, she didn’t anticipate her videos to gain such popularity. “Most of the reactions to the video have been positive so I am glad I have been able to entertain people and make them smile.”

Despite all of the story’s attention, the boyfriend’s mistress still hasn’t found out the lie. “I haven’t heard anything yet, and the tributes are still on her page, so up to this point, I still don’t think she knows,” she said.
