Meet Professor Betty Chu And Her Angora Rabbit, The Worlds Fluffiest Bunny

People all over the world have been beside themselves with curiosity about a confusingly cute ball of white fluff. A picture of this fluffy thing has been circulating the internet for some time now, and people could not help but stop in awe while pondering what breed of animal it might be. Its owner stands beside it proudly, smiling with a visibly deep sense of love. The question is, what kind of animal is it? All you can see of it is its cute little pink nose poking out through all of its fluff. Well, upon further investigation, they found out it was the fluffiest Angora rabbit, and her name is Francesca.

Francesca The Fluffiest Angora Rabbit

In the world of veterinary medicine, Dr. Betty Chu is a renowned figure known for her expertise, compassion, and dedication to the welfare of animals. While her professional accomplishments are indeed impressive, there is one particular aspect of her life that has captured the hearts of many – her beloved Angora rabbit named Francesca.

Guinness World Records has officially dubbed Francesca as the world’s fluffiest Angora rabbit. Those who happen upon her picture with Dr. Chu standing proudly beside her are beside themselves with curiosity. Only her little pink nose gives any sign that it is an animal. People have been asking, “Is there really a rabbit inside?”

But their main question is, how on earth does Dr. Chu get Francesca to be so fluffy? Well, the dedicated veterinarian did disclose some of her grooming secrets. But first, let’s see how the two came to be together. Dr. Chu said she “was introduced to the rabbits through a friend and as soon as I saw them I fell in love and knew I had to have them.”

How Does She Do It?

According to D. Chu, Francesca, the fluffiest Angora rabbit, has her genetics to thank for this remarkable fluff that protrudes from her body. However, this is not to say that Dr. Chu did not put in much effort to get her fluff to become so impressive. “Angora rabbits can grow their fur very long but it takes a lot of work to get there,” she concluded, “You need to have the right genetics. Not all Angora rabbits have the ability to grow and maintain a long coat.”

Even though she is very happy about winning the Guinness World Record, this was not her main goal. She wants to breed Angora rabbits that are in top form. “I’m honored to be in the Guinness Book of World Records but my most important goal is simply to breed the best English angora rabbits in the world,” Dr Chu says, ”For me, it is even more important to keep my rabbits in top shape so they are competitive on the rabbit show circuit.”

Which Are the Fluffiest Angora Rabbits?

It seems that there are multiple kinds of Angora Rabbits. This goes to show that Francesca is the world’s fluffiest Angora rabbit only because of her particular breed. Along with the giant Angora and the Satin Angora rabbits, there are the English Angora and French Angora. The English Angora is famous for its long, fine, and silky wool, while the French Angora boasts a dense and woolly coat that often requires regular grooming to prevent matting.

Dr. Chu’s Angora rabbit happens to be an English Angora rabbit, which goes to show why her fluff is so luxuriously fluffy. Regardless of their breed, Angora rabbits have made a name for themselves as amazing pets with their charming personalities.
