Netflix has announced they’re looking for a new flight attendant to join their “dream crew.” The position is not only an exciting one but also pays over a quarter million dollars to the right candidate. The position is for a primary flight attendant on one of its super midsized private jets. These jets usually commute from San Jose, California. The streaming giant’s headquarters are based in Los Gatos.
The job listing requirements are pretty on par with most major airlines. The responsibilities range from performing the pre-flight cabin inspections and conducting safety briefings to maintaining the stockroom. Ensuring stock levels are consistent. The flight attendant may occasionally be required to work flights on a Gulfstream G550 jet when required.

The requirements are pretty standard
Netflix has some pretty industry-standard requirements for the right candidate. The right fit is required to “demonstrate a professional representation of Netflix Aviation at all times while performing the duties of the position.” They also state that the applicant should embrace Netflix’s culture. Being able “to operate with little direction and a lot of self-motivation.”
The candidates should also note that a level of strict confidentiality is expected. This is because many high-profile members may be attending flights. They also expect the candidate to perform their duties with absolute discretion at all times. This means a professional who maintains a strict standard is required.
The compensation is pretty reasonable
Netflix hasn’t offered an exact breakdown of the compensation for the role, but the listing says that the salary will be on par or potentially higher than their competitors. The overall market range is between $60,000 and $385,000. They specify that “a wide range of compensation factors will determine the final compensation.” This would be determined by skills and experience.

They also specify that the role demands “flexibility to work a varied work schedule including domestic and international travel, often requiring weekend and holiday work days and extended travel periods.” They also mention that the candidate should be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds at a time.
