Laura Williams, a mother of three asked her husband for a divorce after he had an affair. She took the rest of her life into her own hands and decided to create a Tinder account. After exploring her sex life with eight different men, she realized a lot about herself, and the habits she had developed. Laura has shared some of her insight in the hopes that other women can start to enjoy their sex lives a bit more.
A Mother of Three
Laura Williams is a mother of three children. She was 47 years old when her husband admitted to having an affair. This ultimately triggered a rather messy divorce of a marriage that had lasted 22 years. She had met her husband in university and they shared an apartment in Manhattan, as well as a house in the country. Laura mentioned that she couldn’t have imagined living a life with someone else, speaking to the New York Post Laura said, “I was 47 years old and I expected to be with the same man for the rest of my life.”
She went on to describe how their sex life had become bland and lacking in passion. “Our sex life wasn’t great anymore. There wasn’t any passion between us. But I had expected that.” said laura. Either way, her husband had betrayed her, so she decided to kick him out of the house for good.
She Discovered A Part of Her Personality
About five months after the divorce, Laura signed up with the dating app, Tinder. She did not date at all in her 20s, because she had met her husband so early in life. She felt like she must make up for all the time she lost in her youth.
This enabled her to discover her sexuality. Laura has described her experience in a memoir for other women to learn from her experiences in the dating world. She mentioned that dating is her “superpower” and the divorce helped her realize that. She spoke about her revelations in her memoir, which became available to buy in 2021. Laura found that she had been hiding a part of herself deep down, and now that she had the space to explore, this version of her was becoming more and more confident.
“You now have the freedom to do whatever you want,” Laura told the Post. “If you want to sleep with two men on the same day, you can. If you want to have a tryst in the middle of the day, you’re free. The only person who can judge you is yourself. And if you’re fine with it, screw everyone else.”

What She Discovered Through Dating
Laura Williams had to put her life back together, but it would never be the same after her husband’s betrayal, but Laura is glad for it. She had now opened herself up to the dating world in a way she never had. She was candid, and confident, both of which she knew men found attractive.
